AAF's Last Excursion of 2007 ... Ice Skating Outfits!

A few of us managed to get together before the holidays ... to do a little winter shopping - so we'd have something to wear ice skating.  We found these cute outfits from Total Betty (the Total Betty *Merry*  Skating Christmas Dress ... link to the BLUE version on OnRez) ... they come in 5 different colours and all kinds of configurations.  The designer is Betty Barracuda.

From left to right we are: me (Katicus Sparrow), newcomer Payce Reynolds (in red, backrow - Payce is a new AAF member from New Brunswick - welcome, Payce!), Chloe Barbosa (in black), Paradise Wonderland and Patrice (our lone individualist).

I love these outfits ... it's like being in a Currier and Ives picture.  PLUS the boots have a skate animation!  So we cut a rug, so to speak, over on the ice rink that some of my neighbours set up.  It was definitely like being in a Christmas card.

One of my new year's resolutions is to get some mad skillz in SL photography.  First - figure out how to do a group shot, so we all need to get AO's or some pose stands for that?  And then .. why does MY pic seem a little blurry and flat?  Do I need to Photoshop it? Must figure this out.

Best thing about Second Life? Free. Hair.

At the risk of repeating Eden's post below, check out Chloe's new, FREE coif courtesy of the freebie wall at ETD!  I picked up a sweet "fat pack" of tinted hair, similar to Paradise's but longer. 

This is what I lurve about SL -- in RL I could never get away with having hair tinted at the ends to match any outfit (in this case, blue to match my new cheongsam... something else I could never wear in RL!)

After a Fashion - second season premiere

I found this new hair on the freebie wall at ETD the other night when the gals from After a Fashion went on a long-overdue shop crawl. It's perfect with my new kimono top, don't ya think?

Katicus celebrated "Talk Like a Pirate Day" over in the Lost Grounds.

She even picked up a feathered friend.

Clearance sale at Canimal!

I was browsing around today and visited one of my favorite SL clothing stores, Canimal. Imagine my glee when I discovered that they're having a huge clearance sale on dozens of fashions!  On now until Monday July 9th.  Be sure to check it out because once the sale's over, these items are gone for good!

Chilling at the Beach

I can't remember the last time I went on a shopping trip.

I needed some major retail therapy so I ventured to some new shops and found a few great freebies.

After a long, hard day of shopping, I decided to get comfortable and chill out. I found a great pair of shorts with a matching bikini top in my inventory. I'm not quite sure where they came from but I love them. I put on some Lassitude sandals I picked up for free at Shiny Things on an earlier visit, and a great pair of shades.

Social Shopping at Bella

Definitely a must-visit for an upcoming After a Fashion excursion. Bella is a small boutique with lovely clothing, including a bikini collection. Buy something tagged with a pink ribbon and Bella will donate 20% to breast cancer research. Shop with a group of friends and get a group discount.
